HI, I’m Cassidy

In 2013, I opened an Etsy shop with downloadable posters called “ArtKeptSimple.” It was good money for a college kid, and I spent a couple of years practicing a skill I didn’t realize I would turn into a career.

Fast forward 10 years, and I’ve learned so much about design, collaboration, and myself. For the first few years of my career, I has a bit of a “no” problem. As in, I literally never said it. I even branded my first full time freelance business as “All Trades Creative.” I was desperate to do it all.

Digital and print design, motion media graphics, running social media accounts, planning marketing strategy, shooting and editing photography and video, even doing a couple of local vendor markets selling prints… I was a chaotic, creative force of nature. And it was exhausting.

I realized that I was saying yes to so many things that I really wasn’t passionate about that I had no room to pursue the kind of work that actually fueled me. I was burnt out and resentful any time I booked a new project.

So, at the end of 2023, I decided it was time to narrow my focus.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always had a desire for something more.

I wanted to explore, see the world, and make things more beautiful than when I found them. More importantly, I wanted to work with people with that same kind of passion. People who go down the roads less traveled and dive into the depths of the river, just to see what they might find.

Blue River Studio was born out of a love of pushing forward into the unknown. Of crafting wild and beautiful brands that tell not only the story of your brand, but of you.
